EPO stands for “Educational Progressive Organisation”; this association is setup in an historical village known as “Malwana – Sri Lanka”. It helps most of those people living in that particular economy to understand the basic need of the education. It aims to encourage the people to be aware of what to do in the educational basis. Some of it main endeavours are;

 

ü      Helps students to advance school education

ü      Provide self employment opportunities

ü      Help poor and needy people by giving them scholarships and what   ever essential

ü      Provide an awareness of the education among the parents

ü     Bring about an responsiveness of the education among the community   

    

 

   This organisation started with an admonishment by some the persons and was regarded as an unnecessary effort, but after facing there troubles and apprehension now it is in a gown up organisation in the history of the village than ever before.

    

Today EPO in celebrating its Third year anniversary in the history of this organisation with an luck of success, and it is starting to build up its future plans and careers in there fourth coming year.

Its most significant plans to the future years are as follows.

 

Ø     Scholarship funds both locally and internationally contribution to help the poor and needy people

- Bright students who have passed their Advanced level examination will be selected from poor families and help them for their University and vocational education by giving a monthly scholarships. 

Ø     Special Arranged classes for needy students

- Bright ordinary level students will be selected from poor         families

 - Tuition Teachers will be arranged from the area school

 - The monthly fee to be arranged with tutors

Ø     Weekly conducted education programs to meet the students aspirations

Ø     Leadership Training and residential programs for students
